Kowalski heads back north

| Swimming: Olympic silver
medallist Daniel Kowalski (left) has quit the Australian Institute
of Sport swimming program to return to the Gold Coast. Kowalski said
disillusionment with life in Canberra prompted his decision to rejoin
former coach Denis Cotterell, who aslo coaches new world 400 meters
record holder Grant Hackett. AIS director John Boultbee said the parting
was on good terms. |
